Medical History: Has a genetic heart defect called HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), he found out about it when he suffered a heart attack. He recently found out that his heart is failing and he needs to have a heart transplant.

Crimes: Bribed Emily Chambers aka "Jules" into getting together with Keith, so she'd break his heart. This was Dan's revenge for Keith sleeping with Deb (see Deb Scott). He then shot and killed his own brother Keith during a hostage situation at Tree Hill High. It was originally believe that a student, Jimmy Edwards had killed him because their bodies were found together after Jimmy held up the school. But, Jimmy had taken his own life before Dan shot Keith. Later on that year, Dan apparently "took the wrap" for his son, Nathan "killing" Daunte after Daunte ran his car into Haley -- although it was shown that Dan had jimmied the breaks on his car. He's spent the last four years in prison for killing Keith, but was recently released.
Past Relationships: Before his marriage to Deb, he was in a serious relationship with Karen Roe during his senior year of High School. When he found out that she was pregnant with Lucas, he left Tree Hill to attend college. He began 'seeing' Karen again when she was pregnant with Keith's daughter, Lily. That ended as soon as she found out Dan had been the one who killed Keith.

Extended Family: GodMother to Nathan and Haley's son, James Lucas Scott (5 years-old). Brooke wants to be a mother so she's fostering a baby girl. Her name is Angie and she's in America with Brooke because she needs to have heart surgery.

After her family moved to California, she moved in with Karen and worked as a bus girl at cafe. At the start of senior year she got a job at the clothing store Suburban Filth but was fired after she stole some clothes from the store because they ripped off her designs. She then moved on to create Clothes Over Bro's and even had a fashion show for it at the school and got accepted into the Rogue Vogue fashion show in New York City, but because of the Sparkle Classic cheerleading competition falling on the same day, she didn't go stay at Rogue Vogue.

Above the Influence? She use to drink a lot at parties. She now opened the program at THHS called "DW Not I," so that students always have a designated driver to avoid driving drunk. She occasionally drinks at parties now.
Crimes: Was arrested after stealing clothes from Suburban Filth with Peyton during Senior year. They took the clothes because the store had taken the designs from Brooke and did not give her credit. Before leaving Tree Hill after high school, every year for her birthday she would go with Peyton to her favorite store in the mall and steal one item, but Peyton later paid for it behind Brooke's back because her fathers friend owned the store. A few months before she graduated high school, she stole a test with Rachel so that she could pass her class and graduate with her friends. When Principal Turner found out what had happened, Rachel took the blame and got expelled. After fessing up the day before graduation, Brooke was still able to graduate and Rachel received a diploma as well.

Past Relationships: Hooked up with many guys, including Fitch who attended the same Duke University party she did during Junior year. Lucas Scott - They dated on and off during Junior year in high school, but it ended due to various situations mostly having to do with Peyton. The first time they dated, it ended quickly when he had a secret fling with Peyton. Shortly after her final break-up with Lucas, she began secretly dating an older man named Nick that she was set up with by Rachel via the internet. He turned out to be her English teacher, but they broke up when he hit on Rachel and cheated on her with one of her fashion line models. In between her relationships with Lucas, she also dated Felix Taggarro, who was Anna's twin brother (see Lucas Scott or Peyton Sawyer.) for awhile and had a one-night stand with Chris Keller.
